One thing about living in Alberta and on the 18th floor of an apartment building, is that we really see a lot of sky. While it may sound a bit strange to say it, I find the ever changing and often dramatic sky here, grounding.
From early July 2016 until early July 2017, I would often stand on our balcony, facing east, and photograph the sky. And sometimes I’d end up photographing the sky more than once on the same day. Those photographs later became pages for an unbound bookwork titled (from here) a year of sky.
