I wanted to know what would happen if I took a Polaroid shot of the black & white image that was on my computer monitor. I had colour film in the camera at the time and what I ended up with was a disappointing brown toned image.

Actually I intended to make a double exposure, but as frequently happens, I forgot to make “multiple exposures” the last setting I make before taking the photograph. In the end, I suppose it is useful that the image was a single exposure, as this probably gives me a better sense of how the Polaroid colour film interacts with the light from the monitor. Of course there are other factors to take into account, but for now at least this crappy image satisfies my wondering.

I doubt that I’ll be taking other Polaroids of images as they appear on the monitor, although as I write this, my mind is already thinking … I wonder how different the tone might be, if I photographed the same image as it appears on my laptop screen?
