The last time I created a sky piece, was when I put together the unbound bookwork (from here) a year of sky back in 2017. For grounding in sky I focused on one month, taking two photographs on each of the thirty days in November, to create a flipbook of November sky.
Earlier in the fall, I was finding it sometimes difficult to come to my creative practice daily. And yet I knew that it was important for me to, if only in some small way. I thought, even if I can do nothing else, surely I can at least take two photographs a day. Working on this flipbook, with attention on Alberta’s ever changing sky, lifted my spirits and actually helped me to get back to working on other things.
