On Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 there was a partial solar eclipse and I decided to do a text walk along Broadway Street during the eclipse. I was at the corner of Broadway and Granville Street at 1:33 p.m. when the eclipse was just starting. Heading east, I walked along the north side of the street until I reached Main Street, photographing bits of text that caught my eye, and then I decided to turn and walk back, along the south side of the street. When I reached Granville Street again, I glanced up at the big clock on the corner and saw that it was exactly 4:17 p.m.
Somehow, my walk ended up taking exactly the length of time of the eclipse.
